HYPNOTHERAPY FOR

PAIN MANAGEMENT

A gentle, proven approach to reduce discomfort, calm your nervous system and help you live more fully.

Living with ongoing pain is physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting. Whether it’s migraines, back pain, fibromyalgia or post-surgical recovery, the effects of pain ripple into every part of your life: your sleep, your energy, your relationships and your mood.

Hypnosis for pain management offers a gentle, drug-free way to calm your nervous system, interrupt the pain cycle, and give you back a sense of control. It doesn’t replace medical advice but it can work alongside it, helping you manage discomfort in a calmer, more sustainable way.

Chronic Pain

How does pain affect the mind?

Pain isn’t just a physical sensation, it’s also processed emotionally. Stress, fear, frustration and past trauma can all increase how we experience pain. Over time, your body can become “stuck” in a heightened state of sensitivity, where even small triggers feel overwhelming.

You might find yourself bracing for pain before it even starts, avoiding activities you once enjoyed, or feeling anxious and helpless about how long this will go on.

That’s where hypnosis can help, by retraining the brain to respond differently.

How does hypnosis help with pain?

Hypnosis for pain management works by guiding you into a deeply relaxed, focused state where your subconscious mind is more open to positive suggestion. In this state, we can:

  • Reduce your sensitivity to pain signals

  • Reframe the emotional response to pain

  • Calm the fight-or-flight stress response

  • Teach your body to relax deeply and consistently

  • Restore a sense of comfort, ease and safety

Hypnotherapy also helps you tap into your body’s natural pain relief mechanisms like endorphins and slower breathing which creates a greater sense of control and relief.

Angie has worked hard to guide me through a period of insomnia, taking the time to resolve not just the insomnia, but the root cause. Her gentle approach gave me a calmer, more positive outlook.”

“Angela’s approach is a game changer. Highly recommend her to others.”

Suitable for many types of pain

Hypnotherapy may help you manage:

  • Chronic pain (e.g. fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraines)

  • Post-operative discomfort

  • Phantom limb pain

  • Stress-related pain (e.g. jaw tension, back pain)

  • Menstrual pain or endometriosis

  • Pain linked to trauma or nervous system dysregulation

If your symptoms are undiagnosed or worsening, please speak to your GP first. Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy and works best when part of a holistic care plan.

Personalised pain support

You can choose to work with me face-to-face in Solihull, or via a personalised hypnosis recording that’s tailored to your pain history, lifestyle and preferences.

  • One-to-one sessions include time to talk, followed by tailored hypnosis and follow-up support

  • Recordings are delivered after a consultation and typically last 40–45 minutes, with a check-in included

Both approaches help you build a calmer baseline and re-establish a positive relationship with your body.
