TREATMENT FOR

CHRONIC PAIN

In some cases there might not be a physical or medical reason for the pain you may be experiencing

Today we are lucky enough to have many medicines and treatments available for a wide range of diseases, stress, and anxiety. We believe that if we don’t have a pill or potion for pain then we should just accept that this is part of our life.

If you’re suffering pain then I would always advise you to seek medical advice to check whether there’s an underlying physical cause. If you haven’t yet seen your GP then you must do so before seeking complementary treatment.

Chronic Pain

If you’ve seen your GP and there’s no physical cause of the pain you’re suffering, then you’ve come to the right place. In some cases, there might not be a physical or medical reason for the pain you may be experiencing, but there is always a cause of the pain.

Anti-inflammatories or painkillers can ease your suffering, but they just simply mask further degeneration. If you look at arthritis, for example, there are medicines that can temporarily reduce the inflammation of the joints but it’s likely to return. In most cases, hypnosis can prevent that inflammation and resulting pain much more effectively than tablets and with no negative side effects

How does hypnotherapy help chronic pain?

The way hypnosis works is that it treats pain as a feeling, which like all feelings, is subject to change. Altering our perception of pain under hypnosis in the subconscious mind can ensure you have a bearable or pain-free life. Conditions that can be treated include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, migraines, chronic back pain, undiagnosed muscular pain, frozen shoulder, and neuropathic pain.

"At my first hypnotherapy session with Angie, I was a little apprehensive as I didn’t know what to expect but within minutes of starting the session I felt totally relaxed. Angie has shown me some relaxation techniques to use which I have found extremely useful."
